VBlades Maybe Back…

August 6th, 2009 No comments

Vblades

V-Blades will be at IRCHA this year! Yes, we will have our own booth at IRCHA and will have some paddles, tails and a few 600mm blades for sale.

Also we have brought the V-Blades factory back to the US and we will be producing blades in Nixa, Missouri once again.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at Muncie!

Update: 01/09/09

V-Blades has been one of the hottest topics on the internet the past year; when will they be back on sale, where can I buy them, and how much will they cost?  As we reported in our IRCHA coverage V-Blades is definitely making a comeback as they ramp back up the Missouri, USA factory.  I was told by Vic he’s developed a completely new manufacture process and will be pumping out 690 and 710 blades very soon.

We now have an answer to one question, where will they be available for sale? Once released for sale, they will be available exclusively through Experience RC in North America, and in Europe and Asia through Fast Lad Performance.

Hop Farm Southern Model Airshowwww.southernmodelairshow.com

A show not overly focused on helis (you might find one or two there) however there are definitely lots of vendors attending so a great place to fossick around for parts, batteries etc.

We have now confirmed with the Hop Farm that the Southern Model Airshow 2009 will be
on 19th & 20th September 2009.

The Southern Model Air Show takes flight at The Hop Farm Family Park, Kent. More than 100 pilots will be showcasing their model aircraft throughout the weekend, which has been described as ‘the best flying display of the year’.
There will be a whole host of different aero-modelling displays including jets, gliders, heli’s, scale, park and electric. There will also be a full size stunt plane show from Turbulent Display, the world famous Dennis Kenyon’s breath taking Heli display and the now famous pyrotechnic mock-battle.
The show will also feature a range of different model demonstrations from boats to cars, tanks and trains. If you want to purchase planes to parts then the wide variety of trade stands will satisfy your needs. Plus there’s a large bring and buy area patrolled by the Daleks!

3D Retractable Landing Gear

Very cool idea, retracting the landing gear (this could be easily hooked up to the flight mode switch) would improve the COG, but is it worth the extra weight? Either way 10 points for style :)
