Wings n Wheels (with Dalek)
I attended the Wings ‘n Wheels event on Saturday at the North Weald Airfield in Epping Essex. It’s a massive hobby display extravaganza mainly focusing on fixed wing with the token heli thrown in (much to my disgust, I guess not everyone can fly heli’s). There however plenty of generic parts, tools, batterys, radios etc which bridge the divide between many rc disciplines, enough to lure any heliman
I really enjoyed the scale WWII planes with their authentic sounding 4 stroke engines and scale bodys, which could fool even the best trained eye, particulary when in mass formation. I also enjoy the fund raising Daleks, which would offer not to exterminate you for a kind donation.
Finally before I left, I couldn’t resist and ended up buying a DSX9 (MacGregor approved) from Inwood Models for a very competitive price, on par with sets imported from Hong Kong.
The Next Wing ‘n Wheels event will be held on June 26 and 27 2010
